About Us
The rich legacy of Santosh Bakery began in late 1964 with the visionary Late Shri Narayan Bhaurao Shelke, who initially started a modest grocery store business on Apte road Shivajinagar, in Pune district. This endeavor marked the beginning of their first entrepreneurial journey in bakery business when there was demand for bread at their grocery store.
His son, Late Shri Vijay Narayanrao Shelke, joined the business after gaining complete production & management knowledge in bakery business by working in other bakeries as he had no prior experience in the same and played pivotal role in their business growth.
Initially the products were marketed & sold by doorstep delivery service since the business was in its early stage. Meanwhile, Deepak Shelke & Vasant Shelke (siblings of Vijay Shelke) helped & manage the business in every aspect by bringing out the best of handcrafted baked products. The main speciality of Santosh bakery is that – all the products are made with traditional methods & recipes & baked out of wood fired oven giving them smoky flavour.
The third generation of Santosh bakery – Mayur Shelke is continuing the legacy by introducing modern technologies, keeping the brand ahead of the competiton. Santosh bakery began as a small dream in 1968 & now this small institution has flourished into a beloved establishment, thanks to the dedication & hardwork of entire Shelke family.
